INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you access Skimbook.com you provide us with two types of information.

The second type of information pertains to the way you use the website, and it is collected as you interact with Skimbook.com. Skimbook Inc. utilizes Google Analytics to automatically gather information about how users navigate through the site. Skimbook therefore assumes the same policies as described in Google’s Privacy Policy because Google is collecting this data; Skimbook is only allowing Google access to this data. The types of data that are collected, such as IP address, “cookies”, etc. are outlined in that Privacy Policy (HERE).

The only type of information that Skimbook collects apart from the user information you provide us with is the Session ID cookies. These are used to confirm when you are logged in.

Any content you post on Skimbook.com that is kept public is submitted at your own risk. Because this information is made public, the website cannot and does not control who accesses this data. By using the website, you acknowledge that copies of original content may remain viewable in stored or archived files even after it has been removed from the main website.

By using Skimbook.com, you are giving us permission to have your personal information transferred to and processed in the United States.

USE OF INFORMATION

Skimbook Inc. will not provide any of the personal information that you provide in My Profile to any third parties.

Your email address will be used to confirm the creation of a new account when you sign up for a new username. It may also be used to contact you with important information.

The information collected by Google Analytics will be used to create a more efficient and user friendly website.

All other public information collected by Skimbook.com is used solely for the benefit of all users of the website to help the users create peer networks and be able to study more efficiently.

Skimbook.com may contain links to other websites. Skimbook Inc. is not responsible for the privacy policies of those other sites. Our privacy policy only applies to the information collected by Skimbook.com.

MODIFYING PERSONAL INFORMATION

Users can make changes to the information that they have posted on Skimbook.com at any time. In order to do that, you simply need to go to the My Profile page and make modifications there. The changes will take place immediately.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

Skimbook Inc. reserves the right to change the Privacy Policy at any time. We will indicate that changes have been made by updating the policy’s effective date at the top of the page.
