SKIMBOOK COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT NOTIFICATION
It is Skimbook’s policy to respond promptly to notifications of alleged copyright infringement. Skimbook follows the guidelines of Section 512(c)(3) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
In response to these notices, Skimbook may modify or remove the material that is claimed to be infringing upon a copyright. The user responsible for posting the copyrighted material may also be terminated from the website. Skimbook will first make a good-faith effort to contact the user that submitted the information in order to allow them to make a counter notification.
Anyone who wants to notify Skimbook of a potential copyright infringement must provide written communication including all of the information listed below.
- 1. Clearly identify the copyrighted work that you consider infringed upon.
- 2. Identify the material on the Skimbook.com website that you believe is infringing the copyrighted work listed above. To ensure that Skimbook Inc can locate the correct content, it is best to provide the URL.
- 3. Provide email address and/or other contact information for Skimbook Inc to contact you.
- 4. If possible, provide the contact information of the provider of the potentially infringing material so that Skimbook Inc. can notify them.
- 5. Clearly state the following: "To the best of my knowledge, it is my understanding that the copyright owner, its agent, or the law has not authorized the use of the copyrighted material described above.”
- 6. Also clearly state the following: "Under penalty of perjury, I swear that all of the information set forth in this notification is accurate. I also swear that I am either authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner or I am the owner of the exclusive copyright that is allegedly infringed upon."
- 7. Please provide a signature on the document.
